
Which ROCKWOOL acoustic insulation model is best for excellent sound insulation
Sound insulation values for ROCKWOOL walls
Sound insulation walls are typically installed as lightweight walls (Drywall) using C-line and U-line frames with acoustic insulation placed in the wall cavities and covered with gypsum board. Before installing sound insulation walls, we want walls that provide maximum sound insulation, but we don’t know which wall configuration would be best. We have therefore created a guide for selecting sound insulation wall configurations
This will be gypsum walls combined with ROCKWOOL rock wool insulation models Safe ‘n’ Silent Pro 330 (density 40 kg/m³), Safe ‘n’ Silent Pro 350 (density 60 kg/m³) and Safe ‘n’ Silent Pro 370 (density 80 kg/m³) at thicknesses of 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm.
*STC values are approximate values that indicate how many decibels (dB) the wall system can reduce sound

Installation method for acoustic insulation walls using ROCKWOOL rock wool insulation

1. Set up the frame with spacing of 40 cm or 60 cm to create cavities for acoustic insulation

2. Insert insulation panels into the wall frame cavities

3. Press the panels into the wall cavities

(Image - Allowing insulation to expand back)
4. Release the panels to allow the acoustic insulation to expand

5. Install gypsum board with screws to complete the installation
