Black rubber insulation is used in water pipe systems or air conditioning systems, which run throughout the building. If the material attached to the pipes catches fire, it could spread quickly throughout the building.<\/p>\n<p>Insulation in pipe systems or air conditioning systems must therefore be fire-resistant. We have tested the fire resistance of MaxFlex FR black rubber insulation according to many standards including BS 476 Part 7, UL 94, ASTM D635, and it has been confirmed as a non-flammable material.
