The roof of a house receives the most heat from sunlight, making it very hot during the day. The roof transmits heat to the ceiling space and then to the occupants. Heat insulation can be installed to prevent heat from entering the roof area by installing insulation directly under the roof.

However, installing insulation under the roof is more complicated. Therefore, installing insulation on the ceiling is a more suitable option because it can be easily installed by oneself without hiring a technician.

Installation Steps

1.) Open the ceiling in the area where you want to install, to bring SCG heat insulation, STAY COOL model, up (through the service opening in the bathroom area)

2.) Unwrap the heat insulation and roll it out across the entire ceiling area

3.) If the heat insulation is too long, cut it and seal the cut edges with aluminum tape to prevent damage to the fiberglass insulation

4.) For areas with downlights installed, use a cutter to cut the insulation about 3 inches around the light fixture and seal the cut edges with aluminum tape
