Cylence ZofTone acoustic wall panel is a prefabricated wall panel for sound absorption. Made from high-density glass wool covered with special woven glass fabric, designed and manufactured according to ASTM and TIS 486 standards. 487

Applications

Cylence ZofTone acoustic wall panel can be installed on all wall types including concrete, brick and plaster, gypsum, or smart board walls. Suitable for machine rooms, meeting rooms, and theaters.

Special Features

High sound absorption

Cylence ZofTone acoustic wall panel has a high Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC), effectively absorbing reflected sound and reducing reverberant sound in rooms. It improves building atmosphere while the glass fabric prevents dust accumulation, ensuring longevity. Available in black and white to suit design needs.

Sound Absorption for Echo Control

For spaces requiring echo reduction like meeting rooms, theaters, cinemas, lecture halls, home theaters or karaoke rooms, echo and reverberation can reduce listening efficiency. Design must incorporate materials with good sound absorption to prevent sound reflection from ceiling, floor or walls, measured by NRC value which indicates material’s sound absorption capability.

Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC)

SAC is the sound absorption value at a specific frequency. SAC = 0.8 at 500 Hz means at 500 Hz, the material absorbs 80% of sound and reflects 20%.

Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC)

NRC indicates material’s sound absorption capability, averaging SAC values at 250, 500, 1,000, 2000 Hz rounded to nearest 0.05. Generally, sound-absorbing materials must have NRC above 0.40.

Cylence ZofTone Acoustic Wall Panel Installation

1. 1. Mark Spindle Pin positions with 30-45 cm spacing. For painted concrete walls, remove paint at pin locations.
      

      

   2. Attach Spindle Pins with special adhesive. For gypsum or wooden walls, nails can be used.
      

      

   3. Install all Spindle Pins at marked positions and allow adhesive to dry completely.
      

      

   4. Install Cylence ZofTone panels onto Spindle Pins one by one. There are two pin cap installation methods.
      

      

Recommendations

Installation using plastic caps

Choose Spindle Pins 10-12 mm longer than Cylence ZofTone panel thickness.

• • Cylence ZofTone W025: Use 32 mm wall mounting pins
  • Cylence ZofTone W050: Use 57 mm wall mounting pins

Installation using metal washers

Choose Spindle Pins 15-25 mm longer than Cylence ZofTone panel thickness.

• • Cylence ZofTone W025: Use 50 mm wall mounting pins
  • Cylence ZofTone W050: Use 65 mm wall mounting pins

Recommendations for Enhanced Wall Sound Insulation

Install Cylence ZofTone acoustic wall panels together with Cylence ZoundBlock acoustic wall panels as follows:

1. 1. Install wall frame system completely
   2. Fill gaps with Cylence ZoundBlock acoustic wall panels
   3. Cover with smart board, gypsum board, or plywood before installing Cylence ZofTone
